Bug Prints

The bug prints are some of my favorite designs I have made. I was originally inspired by Christopher Marley. He is an artist that preserve and arranges animals, most noticeably beetles, and displays them as art. I have fallowed his work over a dozen years. I have admired the unique shapes and colors of all of the bugs. The bugs were first draw with water color pencils then digitally scanned in for the prints. I wanted the bugs to truly pop so, I had the backdrop for them in deep jewel tones.    

These prints are quite versatile they could be used both for fashion and interiors. When creating the all over bug print with the purple background I thought it would make a luxurious wall paper for study in an old but recently remolded house with large modern widows.
